Travel RNs 

Nurse Angeli Inc. is currently looking for an Emergency and ICU Registered Nurses who have at least 2-years of working experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
• Basic Life Support- Level C Certification
• RN entry level competencies (e.g., care and maintenance of nasogastric tubes, intravenous initiation)
• RN post-entry level competencies (e.g. Venipuncture, Care of Central Venous Access Device, Peripherally Inserted, Central Catheter line, direct administration of intravenous medications)

Requirements 

• Able to read, write, speak fluent English
• A valid Nova Scotia RN, LPN license (must be registered or willing to register with NSCN at time of application)
• Computer literate and can operate a desktop computer and Microsoft Office software programs
• Must have a clear criminal record and vulnerable sector screening check within the last year
• Vaccine immunization, flu vaccine and covid-19 vaccines up-to-date
• ACLS, BLS, TNCC, CTAS, PALS certificate

Responsibilities

• overall coordination and direction of nursing care
• provides clinical leadership particularly in complex or unpredictable patient/client care settings
• has the knowledge, skill and judgment needed to provide competent, evidence-based nursing practice
• works with other disciplines to coordinate care to achieve patient/family outcomes
• contributes to the efficient and effective functioning of the service/unit and coordination of patient care
• complies with documentation processes at work sites
• responsible for communicating with the Charge Nurse regarding their assignment and/or competencies required to meet the needs of their assigned patients at every shift
• meet organizational practice requirements
• maintain good communications and rapport with all members of the care team and public
• maintain privacy and confidentiality
• complete all required documentation by the end of shift
• have knowledge of all emergency codes
• participate (as applicable) in emergency response teams
• carry out duties and responsibilities in a highly professional manner
• continue evaluation and identification of needs required via self audit
• have knowledge of policies and practices required for their roles and skills required to meet organizational practice requirements, including but not limited to the following competencies
• able to communicate all questions, concerns and compliments to Nurse Angeli Inc. as needed and when applicable
